Jean-Michel Vappereau — Essaim: le groupe fondamental du noeud
Likely the first publication available in print by Vappereau. Essaim was published by Point hors ligne for Topologie en extension in 1985; this work introduces the reader to the topology of the subject of psychoanalysis, its historical foundations, and exercises for the writing of knots. Somewhere between prose and mathematics, Vappereau claims that Essaim is a beginner-friendly text. Those wishing to understand either the oeuvre of Vappereau or the topology of Lacan in the immediate aftermath of his passing should begin here.
